Sky Force Reloaded: Arcade Shooting Comes of Age on 5800
Remember that vertical arcade shooter game of the yesteryear’s? We still remember how madly in love we were with this game when it was first available on video game consoles in the 90s. Its been like two decades now and we are still not over this game and thanks to Infinite Dreams, we can now get a feel of this game on our dear 5800.
Sky Force is a direct port of Infinite Dream’s 2006 mobile game by the same name. The developers have not forgotten to optmize the game to match with the hardware capabilities of our Nokia 5800 with accelerometer based controls doing full justice to full-screen gaming. Now thats one of the most most impressive interfaces we have seen for a game on our 5800s. No wonder this game is one of the most popular games on the iPhone and is catching up on the iPhone killer-5800 now. Acceleromer based control is a delight, taking full screen gaming to the next level.
As much as we loved this game, imagine what a let down it was when we found that it is just a trial version with only one level. The game description over at the ovi store (from where we downloaded the game) never mentioned anything remotely related to “demo” or “trial”. However, we should have noticed the “Lite” label at the bottom of the game-screen and guessed the limitation of this game.

Verdict
Sky Force Reloaded is by all means one of the best games we have seen on our 5800s. Gameplay is so addictive that we had to struggle hard to keep our hands off our 5800s as we reviewed this game. The icing on the cake is the fact that the game is available as a free download over at the ovi store. However, the present version is only a one level demo version and thats where the disappointing part of the story starts. We don’t really mind free trial/demo but we expect to be informed prior to downloading the game. We hope someone over at Ovi realises this gaffe and fixes this asap.
