Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow
No. of Vacancies : One
Essential qualification : First Class M.Sc (Agriculture) with specialization in biotechnology/ biochemistry/ Plant physiology/ Environmental science focussing crop biotechnology/ transgenics or First Class M.Sc. degree in biotechnology/ biochemistry/ Plant physiology/ Environmental science. Valid GATE/NET qualification/score is a must for Postgraduates in Science.
Desirable qualification : Working knowledge of advanced techniques used in molecular characterization of transgenics and segregation analysis. Working knowledge in computer skills and report writing.
Salary : Rs. 12000*/
Age limit: The upper age limit for applying for JRF shall be 35 years, which is relaxed upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes and Women, and 3 years for OBCs.
Terms and Conditions:
Place of work: The place of work is CRIDA, Hyderabad.
Duration : The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The project tenure expires in Nov. 2014.
Conditions : Candidates possessing a professional degree are exempted from NET/GATE qualification/score. Post-graduates in Basic Sciences should essentially have a valid NET/GATE qualification/score. Candidates not meeting the above criterion will not be interviewed. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
A Walk-in-Interview is scheduled for 29th August, 2012 at 10.30 AM at the above address for one position of Junior Research Fellow sanctioned under DBT Project on, Molecular and Physiological Characterization of annexin Transgenics of Greengram (Vigna radiata L.) for Improved Oxidative Stress Tolerance. The responsibilities of JRF include laboratory and field work and report writing.
